I got my first taste of yoga as an Equestrian Studies major at Lake Erie College. Yoga not only improved my riding, breathing, and connection with my horse; it also transformed my physical tension and pain, relationships, and ability to cope with trauma. I felt so good after yoga class, I just kept coming back. Years later, I became a teacher, established a home practice, and sought out to share what I’ve discovered with others. I’ve been teaching since 2009 and have worked with a wide variety of students including professional football teams, professional and amateur equestrians, children, seniors, and psychiatric patients in hospital and outpatient settings. I love meeting new students from all different walks of life.
After earning my Bachelors of Science in Equestrian Teaching and Training from Lake Erie College in 2007, I earned my RYT 200 (2009) & E-RYT 500 (2015) from Yoga H’om. I went on to become a Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga Instructor with Judith Hanson-Lasater in 2009. I also became an RYT 500- Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga from the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy in 2019. I have additional training in Child Light Children’s Yoga and Patvan Aerial Yoga and additional studies with Rodney Yee, Leslie Kaminoff, Desiree Rumbaugh, Doug Keller, Eric Shiffman, Richard Freeman, Chrissy Carter and more. I specialize in yoga for professional athletes and equestrians, as well as yoga for mental health. My intention is to help my students reach their full capacity, to see them move through life with more ease (in body and mind) and less suffering.
